Welcome Friends!

You are about to enter the Jerusalem Soul Center, a site designed with two purposes in mind:
1) To serve as the homepage for the activities of the newly founded Jerusalem Soul Center, located in the Old City of Jerusalem
2) To serve as a networking and promotional site for chevra both here in Israel and abroad, thereby enabling both spiritual and economic growth through its use.
So who are the ‘chevra’? The chevra are people of all ages, either living in Israel or maintaining a strong connection with the Land, who are students of the Jewish religion and desire to deepen themselves and those around them through such studies.
Our eclectic nature is inspired by so many who have come before us: Rabbi Nahman of Breslov, by Reb Shlomo Carlebach, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rav Kook, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Dahli Lama, Michelangelo, Jerry Garcia, Julia Butterfly Hill, Winnie the Pooh… There are sparks everywhere, and the joy of life is found in revealing and basking in their light.
Spirituality is at the core of this journey and is our means for survival in a very physical world. The duality of an excited openness to the realities of the world around us, as well as the powerful desire to build focused Jewish lives (especially in the Land of Israel) is what pushes us to challenge and develop ourselves as individuals and as a community.
Life is the ultimate university, and by expanding our networks and contacts, we are further strengthened in our efforts to navigate its daily challenges.
It is the desire of the Jerusalem Soul Center to serve as a welcoming light for all who pass through the gates of the Old City, the accepted spiritual center of the Jewish people. The Center will create an open and interactive environment for Jews of all backgrounds. It is based on the ideal of fusing our beautiful Torah and its traditions with the stimulating reality that is our placement in a modern age, and for many of us, the chance to live in the re-born State of Israel.
Join us in our goal to create a thriving, vibrant, resourceful community of Chevra based out of the Soul Center. Am Yisrael Chai!!
—Looking forward to seeing all of you in the Old City, bimhera v’yamenu! Amen.

Please send in any information you see as pertinent (are you a teacher? Are you selling art? Do you organize melava malkas? Do you need a plumber?), and it will be prepared shortly for release on the site.
